The methods of assessment used in this course include evidence gathering methods which have been selected in consultation with industry. This includes knowledge questions, case study scenarios, projects, presentations, observations, reports and portfolios. Methods of assessment are based on the job role and evidence is collected via a simulated work environment or workplace created on-campus. Skills are assessed holistically during the practical demonstration of tasks and this evidence is gathered using observation checklists which are completed by the trainer/assessor. 

These assessment strategies and evidence gathering are in accordance with the relevant training package or accreditation guidelines. Detailed Information is available in the assessment matrix, learning plans and assessment tools for each of the units of competency. Assessors use this matrix to ensure assessments, are undertaken across the duration of the course, rather than clustered together at particular times.

Learning resources may include access to Blackboard, PowerPoint presentations, learning guides, handouts, NMT Library catalogue and opportunities to engage with industry professionals.
