Gain the knowledge and skills to work effectively in the aged care industry. Learn how to care for the elderly and enable them to maintain independence, and understand and support people with dementia. Develop an understanding of safety procedures, ethical behaviour, infection control, working with cultural diversity, and workplace health and safety.
This qualification combines both theory and practical training and has a compulsory, supervised work placement where you can use all the skills and knowledge gained throughout your studies.

An IELTS score (academic) of 6.0 with no band score less than 5.0 or equivalent.

Completion of the equivalent of Australian Year 10.

Students must be 18 years of age prior to commencing this course, in order to participate in the work placement.
